500 Days of Summer

It took me a long time to find this picture, for some reason.

This is glamour to me.

Jennifer Connelly, on the left, photographed for Vogue. I don't adore the dress, but the spirit is right.  And, heck, it's a great picture.

Carey Mulligan on the right.  I probably wouldn't have the guts (or, let's be honest - the money) to wear it, but wow. That's some dress.

Marilyn Monroe

Makes me feel like curves are okay.  

After watching her movies, I don't feel like I NEED to go on a diet RIGHT NOW. (the way, for instance, I feel after watching Audrey Hepburn.)

And, gee whiz, she's funny.

I am a Keira Knightley fan. I don't care what anyone thinks or says, I think she's cool and a fine actress.  I relate more to her style than to anyone else's in Hollywood - perhaps now competing with Carey Mulligan - and she's been a favorite for years. 

Keira Knightley wore this to the Laurence Olivier awards - or a dinner for it or something - I believe.

More premier or awards outfits.  I think the Rodarte was for King Arthur, and the green one for some people's choice or something.

One of my favorites - for The Edge of Love, I would imagine.  Atonement - and one of my very favorite of her looks - clothes and make-up.  Great dress - I think Chanel, and she's got spangle things in her hair.

The one on the right, I think, was taken after a performance of The Misanthrope.  I can't believe I spelled that right. 

I'm sorry they're photographed so often - I feel bad posting paparazzi pictures.  But...

A top, top favorite.  Super cool.  And love the bag on the right.  All of it on the right, actually.

I wish I could convince myself that a pair of sailor pants would suit me.

She is so... sultry.  I mean, that's the only word to describe her.  She's a sort of a continual low burn.  And, man, what a couple. She met him at nineteen years old, I believe. 

She wears the pants

I have a big problem with trousers.  99% of the trousers I see on girls nowadays are, in my humble opinion, extremely unattractive.  They look either slobby, baggy, tight, or just cheap and juvenile. I wish we had the ladylike trousers of the 50's and 60's - when wearing pants was still a new thing for women.

The classic example.  Slim fit, and shows the ankles.

That. Is. Awesome.  I would kill for a shirt with a peter pan collar. And the glasses are darn cool as well. She's classy - and a little quirky.

She deserves to be famous for more than her dress sense - but, I must say, her clothes are cool.
